What makes this green?

Agastya Academy has been designed to be holistically sustainable with a low energy footprint and effective water management. A large part of the school’s water requirement will be met via harvested rain water and reuse of waste water treated on site. Insulated walls made of hollow terracotta blocks and well shaded windows that keep interiors cool.
