What makes this green?
The Earth-friendly staff housing inside the campus of The School KFI has been constructed using eco-friendly materials. Insulating hollow terracotta blocks keep the walls of the building cool while a heat reflective coating on the roof prevents heat ingress from the top. Each of the 6 dwelling units are connected to a 1 KWp solar PV energy system on the roof that greatly reduces energy consumption. Natural waste water treatment and comprehensive rainwater harvesting minimize potable water consumption.
